chim-dae. An aspirated ㅊ at the front, and a ㄷ that voices after the nasal into a genuine soft d.
chimdae
A flat two-beat shape. The word runs from a strongly aspirated consonant to a fully voiced one, so the effort drops sharply between the syllables even though the volume never changes.

침대에서 책을 읽어요 attaches 에서 to a vowel-final noun, and then 책을 and 읽어요 both move a trapped stop forward -- the ㄱ of 책 voicing into the particle, and the cluster ㄺ of 읽 sending its ㄱ into the ending.
Skimping on the breath in the ㅊ gives 짐대 and loses the word's one strong consonant, so push the breath. The 'ae' then invites an English long a, giving 'chim-day' with a glide -- ㅐ is short and static, so the syllable should land closer to 'deh' than to 'day'.
