mit-tta. A clean 'ee', an unreleased ㄷ closure, and then a tensed ㄸ that the spelling gives no hint of.
mitda
Even weight on both blocks and a stop closure. Worth setting against 듣다, which looks nearly identical on the page and behaves the same way in the citation form -- but 믿다 is regular, so 믿어요 keeps its ㄷ where 듣다 swaps to ㄹ.

저는 그 말을 믿어요 shows that regularity: 믿어요 resyllabifies the ㄷ forward, where it voices between vowels, giving mi-deo-yo with a genuine soft d. The object phrase does the same thing a beat earlier, 말을 running as ma-reul.
Learners who have just met 듣다 over-generalize its irregular pattern and produce 'mi-reo-yo' for 믿어요, which is a different verb's behaviour entirely. In the citation form the errors are the usual pair: an audible release on the middle t, and a plain English d instead of the tensed ㄸ at the end.
