Korean · Pronunciation Guide
na-ra. A forward n, a quick tap, and two identical open vowels -- one of the cleanest tap drills in the course.
nara
Two beats, and the vowels are identical, so any inequality between them is coming from English rhythm rather than from Korean. Both should be fully open and exactly the same length.

한국은 아름다운 나라예요 puts a long modifier in front, and 한국은 resyllabifies its ㄱ into the particle to give han-gu-geun. The noun itself then arrives with no consonant changes at all.
An American r turns the tap into something twice as long and drags the second vowel with it -- say 'gotta' quickly and steal the flap from the middle. Beyond that, watch for the schwa, since 'NAH-ruh' is what English rhythm produces and Korean wants two matched open vowels.
