'دیروز شما را دیدم' (diruz shomā rā didam, 'I saw you yesterday') attaches را even to the pronoun شما (you) to mark it as the direct object — Persian object pronouns take را just like nouns do. Didam is simple past and, unlike present forms, never takes mi-.
Where English speakers slip
Learners sometimes drop را after pronouns, assuming the marker is only needed for full nouns; but 'shomā rā didam' (not just 'shomā didam') is the correct, natural way to mark a pronoun as a direct object.
