In هیچکس اینجا نیست, هیچکس means "nobody," and just like هیچچیز, it forces the verb to also be negative — here نیست, the negative form of "is" ("is not"), giving the literal sense "nobody is-not here" for the natural English "nobody is here." This negative concord rule is worth internalizing since it applies to the whole هیچ- family of words (هیچکس, هیچچیز, هیچوقت, etc.).
Where English speakers slip
As with هیچچیز, the main trap is using a positive verb after هیچکس — an English speaker's instinct might produce something like *هیچکس اینجا است, but Persian requires the negative verb نیست whenever هیچکس is the subject.
