Say "sabz" — 's' as in English, a short open vowel like the 'a' in 'cat', then 'bz' pronounced together as one cluster.

"Derakht-hā sabz hastand" (The trees are green) shows the plural suffix -hā attached to derakht ("tree") and the plural verb hastand ("they are") agreeing with it — sabz itself, as a predicate adjective, doesn't change form for plural.
The final "-bz" cluster is pronounced as one tight unit without inserting a vowel — say "sabz," not "sa-buz." It's also easy to confuse by sound with the unrelated word sard ("cold"); make sure the ending consonants are clearly 'bz', not 'rd'.
