bund — the vowel is a schwa, and both consonants at the end are dental, made against the teeth.
band
One syllable, short vowel, consonant cluster: heavy by position but brief in duration. Because it is often used predicatively at the end of a clause, it also sits low in the intonation, and English speakers tend to give it more emphasis than Hindi does.

"Myooziyam aaj band hai" borrows myooziyam from English but respells it with a य glide in the middle, so the noun has a cluster English does not. Band then follows as an invariant adjective, unchanged whatever the noun's gender.
Saying the English word "band" gets everything wrong at once: an alveolar cluster, a fuller and longer vowel, and an audibly released d. Hindi wants the tongue forward on the teeth, a neutral schwa, and a quiet release. The vowel is the easiest fix and the most audible improvement.
