CHAA-vul — an unaspirated ch, a long aa, the ambiguous व sound, and a bright l.
chaaval
This word tips forward — a long first vowel and a schwa after it — which is the less common Hindi pattern. English speakers get that shape right by accident, provided they do not lengthen the second vowel.

"Mujhe chaaval bahut pasand haiṁ" uses the plural haiṁ because chaaval is treated as a plural mass noun, which surprises learners expecting hai. The liking construction still takes the dative mujhe rather than a nominative subject.
English ch carries a small puff that nudges च toward छ, and the final l darkens as it does in "vowel." Release the affricate dry and keep the tongue tip on the ridge for a bright l. The व in the middle should be looser than an English v, without strong friction.
