gurv — one syllable ending in a tap pressed straight against the loose Hindi व.
garv
One short vowel with a two-consonant coda, so the word is brief but heavy by position. The optional helping vowel some speakers insert adds a light beat without shifting the weight, since neither vowel would be long.

"Mujhe aapke kaam par garv hai" marks the thing you are proud of with par, and takes the dative mujhe rather than a nominative subject. Aapke is oblique because kaam is followed by a postposition.
English has no -rv coda after a tap, so learners either insert a full stressed vowel or turn the r into a rhotic that absorbs the व. Flick the tongue once, then bring the lower lip toward the teeth immediately with very little friction.
