Hindi · Pronunciation Guide
KAY-say only in rough shape — the first vowel is the long open-mid one of "bed," and the k has no puff.
kaise
Both syllables are heavy, and the interest is in keeping their two vowels distinct rather than in accent. If you flatten both to the same sound, the word loses its shape even with perfect stress.

"Aap yeh kaise karte haiṁ?" places the question word before the verb rather than at the front of the clause, which is Hindi's normal position for a manner interrogative. The plural-polite karte haiṁ agrees with aap, so the nasalization on haiṁ is obligatory.
English speakers merge ऐ and ए into a single "ay," producing "kay-say" with two identical vowels. Hindi keeps them apart: the first is lower and more open, the second higher and tenser. Exaggerate the difference in practice — say the vowel of "bet" then the vowel of Spanish "ese" — and the word starts to sound right.
