Hindi · Pronunciation Guide
SOON-dur with a short lax u, a dental nd cluster, and one tapped r at the end.
sundar
Both syllables have short vowels, so the word is light throughout and heavy only by position. Against the long-vowelled adjectives nearby it should sound compact — English speakers tend to stretch the first syllable and turn it into "SOON-daar."

"Aaj kitnaa sundar din hai!" uses kitnaa as an exclamative rather than a question word, and sundar stays unchanged for gender because it is one of the invariant adjectives. Din is masculine, so kitnaa takes -aa while sundar takes nothing.
The -nd- is the danger point: English speakers make both consonants alveolar as in "sunder," which shifts the whole cluster backward. In Hindi the tongue tip sits on the upper teeth for both. The final r also picks up American colouring, when it should be a single flick after a plain schwa.
